An extremely well-respected Creative Agency in Central London are on the lookout for a Technical Manager to join their team. They work with a range of global brands across a variety of industry sectors including entertainment, fashion, sports, technology and FMCG.
As the company continues to grow a role has opened up for a Technical Manager. This person will take the lead four key aspects of the technology department; Technical Architecture Planning, Team Management, Technical Standards and Technical costing.
Candidates should come from a agency-style technical background and be well up to date with the industry and it’s demands, you will need the ability to mentor and manage a range of developers, liaise with clients and be an integral part of implementing standards and efficiency within the business. This will be an important role in a growing agency and will provide the right candidate plenty of opportunities to solve complex technical issues for clients.
Responsibilities include:
Technical & Solution Architecture Planning
● Design and implement innovative, robust and secure technical solutions.
● Create simple technical diagrams and visual representations of solutions.
● Lead technical discovery activities including meetings and workshops.
Technical Standards & Guidelines
● Ensure ongoing quality of delivered work through code reviews for security, and performance
● Help maintain best practices and set standards for modern web development.
Effort Estimations & Proposals
● Create technical cost estimates for cost-effective solutions.
● Produce accurate approach documents and timelines to achieve solutions.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Minimum 6 years experience & proven track record designing and developing complex Drupal digital platforms.
- Strong overall technical knowledge with the ability to design and review solutions.
- Experience with other CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress)
- Experience with other modern PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel)
- Strong understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS, Angular and React
- Strong understanding of DevOps and Server Architecture (hands-on with AWS)
- Excellent knowledge of code version control and code management processes
